Our Prediction:

Leicester will win

Southampton – Leicester Match Prediction | 25-10-2019 15:00

They will try to use their dominancy in air and will try to score after a break or a free kick. They won in their last three consecutive matches and have been undefeated in five of their last six. On the other side, Leicester finally found the key for their play. In this match they enter eager to win, get all three points, sign another victory and get one step closer to the top five. The Foxes will be weakened for a few missing players, but it wont affect much to the team nor to the final outcome of the match.

However, Jamie Vardy was sent off for a terrible challenge in that match and will now serve a three match suspension. They were unfortunate to lose in the end, but made up for their lack of luck with a rather fortuitous 2-0 win over Wolves last weekend. Leicester started their own season with defeat at Old Trafford, but again that 2-1 scoreline held a lot of positives for The Foxes.

Form Summary

Leicester have been hit a few blows lately while Southampton have been knocking on the door for a victory and have just been unlucky. This should be an interesting game and we expect goals in it, our main bet will be about the game opening up in the 2nd half and thats where we think we will see the goals.

The Foxes aim to make amends for back-to-back defeats to the likes of Newcastle United and Burnley and they are seen as favourites to win Thursday's football match against the relegation strugglers. The Saints, on the other hand, are on a four-match losing run in the English elite division, with the team dropping a two-goal advantage in a 3-2 loss to Chelsea at the weekend. Leicester City play host to Southampton at their King Power Stadium. Southampton's top flight status is in great danger and this has to go down as yet another must-win situation for the Saints. In their last meeting at King Power Stadium the two teams played out a goalless draw and, taking everything into account, share of spoils appears on the horizon. Jamie Vardy has been adding goals to his account week by week and we predict that the experienced attacker is going to prove a handful for the opposition defenders.

Very strong in defensive tasks and possessing an excellent left foot, Fuchs has contributed to quite a few goals his teammates have scored over the years, and he has also become an indispensable member of the Austria national team that secured their place at the Euro 2016 finals in France in style, earning over 70 caps in the process. The left-sided defender played an important role in the clubs transition from relegation strugglers to genuine title contenders, earning worldwide praise for his performances on the left hand side.

Leicester City vsSouthampton Recommended bets with odds

The Foxes 1-0 win at Everton on New Years Day leaves them in 7th position in the Premier League, 7 points adrift of Manchester United above them and in the midst of a widespread battle for the higher mid-table spots. Just 5 points separate them from 13th placed Brighton, and when that 7th place standing could come with an Europa League qualifying spot then things could get heated.

League Table

Jamie Vardy has been adding goals to his account week by week and we predict that the experienced attacker is going to prove a handful for the opposition defenders. Puel is fighting for his job whilst Southampton are fighting for their survival in the league. Hasenhuttl, will feel like this is a good opportunity to press Leicester into mistakes and grab all three vital points. Although it is an away match for the Saints I expect them to be the more aggressive of the two sides.

Jonny Evans and Harry Maguire marked their first start as a defensive pairing with a clean sheet, and both should continue against Southampton. Jamie Vardy will miss the trip to St Marys as the England striker serves the first of his three-game ban following his red card against Wolves. Kelechi Iheanacho is likely to start up front in his place, but it could also hand an opportunity to Shinji Okazaki who is yet to feature this season.

Today's Tips

Leicester lost on the opening day of the EPL 2018/19 season away to Manchester United, with Jamie Vardys late tap-in a case of too little, too late in a 2-1 defeat. The Foxes bounced back by beating newly-promoted Wolves last time out, however a Matt Doherty own goal and James Maddison strike set them on their way and they held on despite Vardys red card.
