Malmo FF (@2.1) vs FC Copenhagen (@3.3)

Our Prediction:

Malmo FF will win

Malmo FF – FC Copenhagen Match Prediction | 03-10-2019 15:00

Thats put them out in front in the league with half of their games played, but can Malmo stay out in front? They showed plenty of ability in midweek when they dispatched Ballymena United 7-0, but can they follow up that impressive Europa League victory or has it taken too much out of them? The visitors have a 13 game unbeaten run backing them up ahead of this clash with Djurgarden.

Malmo are the most successful Swedish side, with the team winning their 23rd domestic trophy in 2017. The Blues finished the season seven points clear of AIK, scoring 63 goals and conceding 27 in the process. Speaking of the clubs European success, Malmo did well to make it to the European Cup final in the 1978/1979 season, but they eventually failed to win the trophy.

The Getingarna are on a three-game winning run at home ground in the Allsvenskan, but, no doubt, they would be happy with one point from Sundays football match against the title-chasing side. Hacken suffered elimination to AZ Alkmaar in the Europa League qualifiers and, as a result, they will be fully focused on the national championship in days to come. There will be fireworks when Hacken and Malmo face each other at Bravida Arena in the Allsvenskan derby on Matchday 19.

Djurgarden have been prone to low scoring clashes, with three of their four meetings with the sides around them finishing with fewer than three goals scored. Theyre facing a Malmo side who would be content with a point, while the visitors come here with the leagues best defence, narrowly ahead of Djurgardens. That has us backing a low scoring affair, so under 2.5 goals is our tip for this one.

Highlighted Player (Arnr Ingvi Traustason):

When taking all factors into account, Malm FF can and should convert a lot of goal-scoring opportunities. Scroll down for all of our predictions, poll and stats for the Malm FF v Bnei Yehuda game (inc. We therefore think that its going to be a comfortable 3-1 win for Malm FF by the time that the referee blows the final whistle. the best betting odds). However, Bnei Yehuda will not find it easy to score but we do think its quite likely that they will be scoring as well.

Malmo meanwhile started their European campaign way back in early July, dropping out of the Champions League with a defeat by Vidi of Hungary before seeing off Midtjylland to reach the Europa League group phase. They are approaching the end of what has been a poor domestic season overall with the title heading elsewhere but things have improved since the appointment of Uwe Rosler, with Malmo now in the top four and pushing for European qualification. They were beaten on match-day one though, losing 2-0 at Genk.

The hosts have lost just once at home this term, which has helped to keep them in the title picture. The second-placed side now need to respond in a much tougher clash on Sunday, but can they rally in order to strike a blow to a Malmo team who are in good form? The hosts dropped two points earlier this week, drawing 1-1 at struggling AFC Eskilstuna. That could all change with a rare defeat here for Djurgarden, but theyve already dealt their own blow to their title hopes.

Malmo played out a 1-1 draw with Hacken in their last league match, but despite dropping two points in Sundays clash, the Blues stayed in the race for the trophy. Sundays football game at Swedbank Stadion pits together Malmo and Falkenberg, the two teams with entirely different ambitions in the 2019/2020 Allsvenskan season. Uwe Roslers troops are a real force to be reckoned with at home and despite the fact that Falkenberg have been showing signs of improvement of late, we are tempted to put our money on Marcus Rosenberg and Co.

However, considering that Andreas Alms troops are tough to beat at home, we believe that there is a big value in betting on draw. The Blues suffered a dip in form, with the team failing to win previous three league fixtures. Malmo dropped to second place in the standings, but a win over Hacken could see them overtake Djurgarden in top position.
