Three points from Dillon plus a single from Michael Plunkett and a lovely strike from distance from Diarmuid OConnor put us ahead for the first time midway through the first half. Nonetheless, a long range strike from wing-back Joe Geraghty on the stroke of half-time gave us a one-point lead. Alan Dillon eventually pointed in the 10th minute for the Abbeysiders before the lively Jamsie Finnerty forced a save from the formidable frame of Mayo goalie David Clarke before limping off with an injury. Unfortunately, it would be the county mans last action as he became our second injury casualty of the game shortly after. It was visitors who started the stronger, with Ballina accounting for the games first three scores.

Paul McCaffrey of Dromore,Tyrone (!) jumps from 8th place to 3rd (were a friendly bunch in here so well let him stay) and last weeks leader Jack Deane slips back to 10th. Theres been some movement at the top this week as new entrant Declan Leonard of Aghamore storms into first place followed by Enda Cosgrove of Kiltane.

There are now 80 people registered and itt not too late to join in (even joining two weeks late youll probably still beat some of us .. Here are this weeks Allianz Prediction League week 2 standings. ahem).Just registerfor an account on https://www.allianzleaguespredictions.ie/and all you need to do is go to click join mini-league and enter this code: DZD6MLxFkF1E.

All-Ireland Football Qualifiers: Down v Mayo, Preview, Team News and live score updates

Gastelum has arguably one of the most impressive resumes of any UFC fighter. In fact, hes the fighter who seems to consistently ruin the party for the sports big names; former champion Johny Hendricks, recent hall of fame inductee Michael Bisping, long-time top #5 middleweight and world-class submission artists Jacare Souza, Gastelum has dispatched them... Gastelum recently stated that he doesnt think Adesanya deserves this shot because he hadnt been through the fire that he had to get there.

We will do a weekly Mayo Club 51 mini-league table update here on the site.Well have a rummage through the attic and basement here inMayo Club 51and see if we can come up with a prize for the winner of the predication league at the end of April. The code above is for the football league. There is no limit to the amount of mini leagues you enter (last year we entered into 5 different mini leagues!) You only need to enter your predictions once each week, all the different mini leagues you are entered into will be updated automatically. Although its mainly for a bit of craic and to test how well you thinkyouknow your football.

Ballina v Breaffy. Ballagh played in patches last week in Belmullet and cant be so wasteful if they are to advance. Should be the most straightforward of the 4 games. Knockmore to cause a shock by 2Ballintubber v Belmullet. Ballintubber by 10Ballagh v Davitts. Both teams will feel this is the best draw they could have hoped for. I have a sneeky suspicion Davitts will continue to ride their momentum and secure a stunning semi final spot. Breaffy will go in as favorites but Ballina with all their mayo players back are a decent side. I'll put my neck on the line and say ballina by 1.Knockmore v Castlebar. Repeat of the final from a few years back although both teams much changed. Wont be more than a few points in this. Castlebar not the side they were but still have a long list of multi county title winners. Davitts were favorites for relegation so are in serious bonus territory. Belmullet have had a fantastic year in their first venture into senior but Ballintubber are far too cute and strong for them. Very tough one to call. Knockmore for their part have looked good this year but struggled against an average Hollymount, although they did show considerable fight in the end.

Firstly looking at Down. Pat Havern who scored 0-03 against Tipperary is also a good footballer, while Donal OHare and Jerome Johnston will also be looking to come up with the scores. They played Tipperary in the first round of the qualifiers at this venue where they won 1-13 to 1-10. In defence, they are very stable, they have players like Brendan McArdle, Darren OHagan and Kevin McKernan. Paddy Tally is a very good manager he knows what it takes to win and he will try everything to win this game for the Mourne County. That incidentally was their first qualifier win in 5 years. Down pushed Armagh all the way in Ulster only losing out by a point 2-17 to 3-13, things could have been a lot different if they won that game.

Mayo Club 51 Mini Allianz Prediction League 2016

Walker now is really on fire and the hype is real. After the win, Johnny Walker injured his shoulder by doing the worm celebration. But why Johnny Walker is so good? But now he received doctors clearance to fight so he is back. Also, Walker is good on the ground ha... Johnny Walker is the new name which UFC fans should remember. Johnny is on a 9-fight winning streak and in last 3 fights, he won a Performance of the Night. Also, his last two fights lasted only 51 seconds! It is really insane.

Mayo and Sligo face off on Sunday in the Quarter Final of the Connacht Senior Football Championship on Sunday in Elverys MacHale Park, Castlebar at 2pm. The incentive for the winners will be a Connacht semi final against Galway in Pearse stadium on the 11th of June. Sen Hurson from Tyrone will referee Sundays match. Its the first time the counties have met in the Connacht Championship since the 2015 Connacht Final, when Mayo ran out comprehensive 6-26 to 2-11 winners. Sligos last victory over Mayo came in 2010 when they came from behind to beat Mayo, inspired by Charlie Harrison.

As the blanket of freezing fog enveloping Castlebar started to lift, Tyrone brought a blanket of their own with them down the N5 and proceeded to smother the life out of the game in what was a frustrating day out. Well, that was a dour old affair in MacHale Park yesterday. All in all really it was a day for blankets we even spotted a few in the stand!
